Attendant (School Bus)
Train-the-Trainer Course
If trained at all, the school bus attendant is often forced to sit through bus driver training sessions. The unique challenges facing bus attendants -- only someone who's never done it would think being a bus attendant is an easy job! -- are not adequately addressed in driver training programs. PTSI is proud to provide quality training programs geared entirely to the attendant's responsibilities and challenges.
This 2-day training course prepares your staff's trainers to teach the PTSI attendant curriculum.
The PTSI curriculum covers:
Attendant roles and responsibilities;
Emergency preparation;
Loading/Unloading students;
Children with Special Needs; and
Student Management and Ridership.
The course prepares instructors to use the course slides and participant workbooks and how to implement the course activities. Trainers receive an instructor's manual, instructional materials on CD; PowerPoint slides; a participant workbook; and the supplemental attendant video.
The course provides trainers with many practical tips for improving their instructional skills. Upon completion of this course your trainer will be ready to "hit the road" with truly quality attendant training.
