Crisis Response Team (CRT)
Training for School Transportation

ONE-DAY TRAINING

We live in challenging times.  Emergency planning is one of a transportation department’s most crucial responsibilities. Transportation plays a critical role in most school and many serious community emergencies, yet transportation is seldom fully integrated in school emergency planning.

PTSI’s “Creating a Crisis Response Team” course is a perfect supplement to the “School Bus Watch” training program for drivers and attendants and to NAPT’s course on conducting a school bus assessment in your own operation (NAPT 901).  “Creating a Crisis Response Team” moves beyond raising driver awareness of security issues and identifying current security vulnerabilities in your operation – the WHAT of security and emergency preparedness - to concrete, tangible steps for creating a working emergency response team within your operation – the HOW of security and emergency preparedness.

This highly interactive workshop will show you why and how to create a crisis response team in your operation.  Topics covered include:

•    CRT roles and responsibilities

•    Crisis debriefing process

•    Integrating the transportation CRT into the school’s and community’s overall emergency plan
