Physical Intervention Training
for School Transportation
This one-day seminar teaches drivers, attendants, and supervisors critically important intervention skills for today's world. Verbal de-escalation skills are the cornerstone of effective intervention, and a key component of the program is how to defuse a confrontation before it gets to the physical stage.
Unfortunately, physical intervention has become a necessary skill in today's culture -- sooner or later, bus drivers and attendants will find themselves in situations where verbal de-escalation isn't sufficient to prevent a violent eruption on the bus. What's allowed and what's not?.
This program stresses the importance of knowing local policy and prohibitions regarding student interventions.
